Taught by Dr. Brent Soffe, this interactive and practical course focuses on goal setting and time management, interpersonal communication, organizing, planning, delegating, team management, leading, and improving quality. Dr. Soffe is an entertaining presenter who encourages students to participate actively in assignments, demonstrate critical skills in the classroom, and apply the principles on the job. Formal certification is awarded to participants who successfully complete the required course objectives.
The Employers Council presents a six-week certificate program designed to enhance human resource professionals’ knowledge by: providing current, relevant tools that will enable them to improve task effectiveness, keeping them updated on the latest trends and legal developments that will help them adopt best practices, and teaching them a wide array of basic HR functions that will enable them to seek new or enlarged positions in the HR field. This reasonably-priced, interactive program taught by experienced HR professionals emphasizes practical application. Cost includes course materials and text. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements are awarded a Certificate of Completion. This program is approved for 42 general hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Lean Enterprise Workshop Series Almost half the U.S. manufacturers plan to implement lean. But, implementation has been slow because consultants can be expensive, it's difficult to sustain the effort, and companies don't see real improvement for a very long time. So, The Employers Council has developed an intensive workshop series of nine one-day sessions, focusing on the most important components of implementing lean principles. This hard-hitting workshop is designed to teach participants what to do and show them how to do it. Instructor Jerry Kilpatrick will follow up with participants outside of class to help them immediately implement what they learned.
